charming green spaces near historic sites for easy strolls
I loved how green and lush the hotel was, about 4 km from the hotel. It felt great to have such beautiful sites within easy reach for weekend strolls.

Personnel was very-very nice and pleasant!
Everything was excellent, impeccable service, brilliant location near the impressive Chianti vineyards and the nearest grocery store. Big size and luxurious rooms with the pictures of the family apartment and bathroom over the nearby hills plus good breakfast, had a really amazing experience. Having a shower, a hair dryer, and a bidet was a bonus;)))

Really good spa facilities, gorgeous outdoor landscapes, private outdoor spaces and terraces in suites
The inconsistency in housekeeping for the apartments needs a serious rethink!!! Not cleaning or providing fresh towels left a lot to be desired. Noise levels in dining areas also undermine the peaceful vibe one would expect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Campomaggio. The location of the Villa allowed us to see all that we wanted in the area. The staff was friendly, particularly the English/Italian gentleman, the room upgrade was gracious and much appreciated, the spa was lovely, and pool clean. We especially loved the fact that we could hike/walk directly from the Villa.
While the staff was friendly, their lack of English skills proved challenging some times when trying to make arrangements locally. Further, we came to understand that some of the women's knowledge about necessary bookings for wineries and restaurants was lacking or disparate. The breakfast as well as the lunch/dinner menu, especially, we felt were poor considering the size and/or number of guests on site. Each morning, for the entire week stay, the breakfast was the same. That was quite disappointing. Also to serve the same food at lunch on the deck as the same food served in the restaurant at dinner was also disappointing. A greater variety is necessary from a luxury hotel. The outdoor pool was too cold for us to swim in. This was our biggest disappointment. Those coming from Europe, or use to a colder climate may be satisfied, but again, to be considered a luxury hotel, a temperature controlled pool is a must:)

The villa's stunning views and tranquil atmosphere. The breakfast options were a bit limited, and the glass bathroom door lacked privacy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience.

My husband and I loved the beautiful old architecture of the building's exterior and the grandness of the entrance and grounds, yet the interior of the hotel and our bedroom and bathroom had all of the modern conveniences you would expect. Our bed was the larger than my king size bed at home. The restaurant staff were professional and our server was delightful, and the food was delicious. We were the in May 2011 before tourist season was in full swing, so we able to enjoy the surroundings and grounds before the summer madness. It was truly a wonderful place to stay. I wish we were there at this very moment and cannot wait to return.
No, our stay was perfect.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the modern suite, especially the fantastic shower with a hammam setting, and the pool area was perfect for lounging around. The spa offered a great massage and the outdoor infinity pool was just beautiful! It would’ve been nice to have a few more towels in the room, but overall it was an amazing experience. 😊

the fact that our dog could be with us in the hotel.
breakfast : the first you were the more there was, but when you were a little later you had to order everything. In the restaurant, every day the same menu, small choise. we had a very tiny room. and...this hotel is certainly not a 5 star!!!!

Had a relaxing and pleasant stay. The grounds were wonderful and the room was very comfortable and was a real treat compared to most other hotels I've stayed in Italy. The spa was nice, but the outside sitting areas, pool, and terraces make the atmosphere truly relaxing.
